  2. AEMO issues notice of east cost gas shortfall risk due to high demand, renewable lulls and problems at a gas plant.
  3. Tasmania fires up its gas plant for the first time in five years. Some suspect that this is due to low rainfall.
  4. Illawarra offshore wind zone has been given the green light.
  5. EnergyAustralia’s Tallawarra B gas-fired power station enters the national electricity market (NEM).
  6. AEMO released the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) Electricity Statement of Opportunities (ESOO) and highlights that substantial investment is needed 2027 onwards.
  7. Transgrid released their Project Assessment Draft Report for meeting system strength requirements in NSW.
  8. ARENA has announced $3.2 million in funding to Amber Electric (Amber) to trial battery electric vehicle (BEV) smart charging and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) services.
  9. NSW released its budget for 2024, which includes various spending measures on energy.
